3. Babi Guling Ibu Oka - Ubud, Bali

tampak luar
wujud asli nasi babi guling

5. Teuku Umar Garden, Bali

menunya pas menurut saya
Restoran Chinese Food yang cukup luas dekat hotel kami. Berhubung makannya sudah diatur, yah, mari kita nikmati saja. kebetulan teman saya, Wati (bukan nama sebenarnya) sedang centil, jadilah sejumlah makanan pun ikut terdokumentasi.

6. Warung Made - Seminyak, Bali

 cover depan daftar menu

 selamat makannnn

Bandung, best friend and brother

Another short post about my experience, bloggie.

I went to Bandung 2 weeks ago before i started this semester with mom, aunt, and brother. We didn't have specific aim why we went there, but, we knew where to live and  what to do. Then, we off to Bandung on August 10, on the day Moslem started their Ramadhan tradition. Anyway, Happy Fasting to all Moslems. There, i called my best friend, Herlin, and managed time to meet her. Kinda long time we haven't see each other. I didn't go home last holiday while she did. Fortunately i could meet her in her city, Bandung, for free. So, we enjoyed our days there. Chit chat until dawn with toasts as friends, too many stories were revealed, goods and bads. Plus, there was an earthquake by that moment. What a night. Hehehe..

Then, on the next day, we, my brother, me and Herlin went back to the city. Brother was about buying some clothes and i wanted to buy a wallet. Later i brought it in Jakarta, because i didn't find a unique yet function wallet in distros. Did some shopping spree there, also bought somethings for my relatives and enjoyed steaks on Suis Butcher. Suis Butcher was a steak house. I saw one on my way home on Lembang Parompong, but we stopped by at Riau Plaza.

me and brother. it is so obvious that i got darker than him. *crying

It was a short trip, but i loved it. Especially for the day, me, brother and Herlin spent together. I'm happy because they could befriend at the moment. We spent hours in distros, before went to PVJ to have dinner and went home afterward. Too bad i didn't sleep over at Herlin's on this visit, because we both love strolling the street and seeing cute houses. We dreamt about living in Bandung actually and there's one little secret, friends. We've already found out the places we'll use in our prewed photos years ahead. One of the spot was in Bandung. Yayy! Who will be the first one take the photos there, Herlin? Hehehe.. Looking forward to go to Bandung in real future. Some spots are on my list now. See ya, Bandung.

some pieces from my UP life

-UP-

Hi, half me. I miss you. It's been like ages i didn't share you my story. Life becomes good lately. Some things are changing, in a good way, lucky me and i think God blessed me more than i could imagine. So, thank Him for that. I still travelled during this month, while prepared for brother's stuffs to entering his college. He is officially a university student now, started last Monday. Some problems happened actually, between mom and brother, but they, or we solved it well, and that's the most important thing. He has made some friends in his kost, good ones i think. Hope they'll last for a long time.

I also started my new semester, as a four-year-student. Got a job as a assistant in two classes. Kinda like this job, the lecture and the subject especially. It's related to my thesis and how i can do my research. Not for the money, but the knowledge. Ah, my most favorite lecture has also accepted my thesis proposal. Have i told you life has been good to me lately? Cause it is, really. I'll start to discuss my thesis with her next week, and already felt a bit excited. Can't wait to finish this stuff and get my bachelor degree. *crossing fingers

Then, why i could say i'm leading an UP life? Have you watched UP? A good cartoon movie, endless love story between elderly couple, and the fat boy. Hahaha, my mom was its fan, and i remembered well how funny the situation in time i watched this movie, early August last year. No, i'm not getting old with someone, not even find him. But, some sweetness are sorrounding me. And i don't need any single balloon to blow me upper. I'm already in UP.

ps: i'll be back soon dearest bloggie, no need to worry :)

lost in Jogjakarta

I hope i spell it right. Not Jogyakarta or Yogyakarta, but Jogjakarta. At least i made it sure twice in their airport when i landed. They called it as a "student city". The main aim why we went there just because we wanna make sure about Universitas Gajah Mada. It was a famous and greatest university, not just in Jogjakarta, but also in Indonesia. We, me and my friends, are about continuing our master there, so we surveyed it first. But, we also travelled into some places, but, unfortunately, i didn't take many photos. Why? It's because i felt a bit scary and unconvenience there. The city's ambience wasn't good in my opinion. Not a kind of safe city, less hospitalities, i just felt that i'm not belong there. The sunshine was also bad, too hot. But i still love their famous food, Gudeg. I can't explain well here, but i know where you'll get it, in Wijilan Street. Gudeg made me happy in Jogjakarta.

cheap breakfast outside the hotel. please don't ask why didn't have buffet. hehehe

Prambanan Temple's card

Prambanan Temple

We also went to Prambanan Temple. Too bad, it was raining there. But we've already had some photos with us. We went to no other tourism spots, because we spent the rest time in Malioboro, the main street there. You could find various stores there, most of them sell Jogjakarta's famous Batik and shirts. But they still have KFC and Dunkin Donuts, besides there is a mall, Mall Malioboro. Some hotels are on that street, like mine. Hotel Mutiara, a big one. Next to the Bus Transjogja. Quite cheap, about Rp 3K to travel all city, even to Prambanan Temple (yes, we use this bus). And it is clean and full AC. The bad thing is, it was a small bus, so you can imagine how hard we'll take a breath if the bus is full. Err, disgusting. But, for this price, it was reasonable enough.

Yeah, it was some stories about Jogjakarta. Too bad, it didn't reach enough point to make me say that it was a pleasant place to be visited. But, their Bakpia Pathok 25 and Gudeg Ibu Widodo were worth the visit. Two thumbs up!

quick hello for August

August will come in minutes and i'd like to share you some things. They happened lately, running in my mind and made me a bit confused to step forward. Not all things, of course, i also bring you some good news in life. I went to a holiday, 10 days, with 3 of my friends. They are my college friends, their names appeared in this blog, though not that often. We went to Lombok, Bali and Jogja. Actually i arrived at Jakarta last night, still tired, but i spent this Saturday with happiness. I talked to brother, he's about getting closer to me this month, yup, move out from Manado to Jakarta. I also talked to my best friends. For all we've been through, i still can say, i support you all the way. Best luck for you, my strong girl. Then, i've cleaned my room, transfered photos into my laptop and had a conversation with my senior. Hahaha, i bet you'll read this post, you know who you are. Enjoy your bakpia, ya.

Anyway, August wasn't really my month. I just know that i'll be busy with brother's stuff, campus stuffs, and maybe dad's also. August recalls me things to be remembered. Good and bad. Like every month actually. Be nice August, i know you'll surprise me, like always. But please not a bad one(s), but goods.

Some spots from Lombok and Jogja. Enjoy it.

Nando's for breakfast, why not?

Well, actually it was a bad idea to choose Nando's as your breakfast. Because their menus are spicy and it's not good for your tummy in the morning. But, me, mom and brother took that risk and we ate there before we stroll the city on a day 2 weeks ago in Singapore. I saw the restaurant before escalator to Iluma in Bugis Junction. We were looking for a place to have err, brunch, i might say, because it's already 10 a.m. Then, there was a sign board in front of Nando's and it was told "(just see the picture below)"

outside the restaurant

i am totally forget the names of these food. they're full with chicken. see the flag? it's a green flag, as i chose the flavour aka lemon and verb.
it means i'm not brave enough to taste their periperi hot flavour. hehehe..
it was breakfast, dear Nando's. hehehe
choose your flavour
So, we entered the restaurant and got confused with the menus because it was our first visit. They sell chickens with some flavours. Like you can see in the picture above. The sauce, they call it, PERI-PERI was a bit strange, not a hot sauce i used to eat. I wasn't too satisfy at that time, but breakfast what we ordered were enough. We also ordered hot chocolate for brother and jasmine tea for me and mom. It was indeed a good breakfast to start a day, but i do believe that we shouldn't have breakfast in Nando's but dinner.

pursuing my happiness

It's 2.30 am, and i really really need to sleep as soon as possible. Some stuffs are running in a circle in my mind. Then i'm gonna sing the rest of Can't Fight This Feeling by Glee Cast. Hahaha. I just can't handle it. I hope i could sleep now and wake up today (yeah today) with a better feeling. It's not i felt bad, no, i'm just a bit worry about those stuffs. Brother's college, holiday, and the most important now, my new term and proposal. Why do i have to think about them? The only answer is they are my way to pursue my happiness.

I wont be happy if my family aren't. I wont be happy if i couldn't pass my proposal and thesis. I won't be happy if i let my brother lost in this city. Another news, bloggie, brother will enter an university in Jakarta next month. Ah, and i'm getting confuse about my future. Making proposal, do that and this stuff related to proposal, find perfect subjects, and so on until next year. Fyuh, i hope i could do that better than what i've revealed here. *finger crossed!

Trust me, happiness isn't a stable meaning. It changes if you changes your visions and missions in life. By now, it's my way in pursuing my happiness. By doing my best in proposal, by arranging my next trip wisely, and by letting my family choose what they want. Especially for my brother. If they all are well arranged, i'll be happy. I hope it's not too hard to get them all happy. I hope.

Anyway Happy Sunday everyone. Have a blessed one :)

steam boat and BBQ always made me (goddamn) full

Steam boat and BBQ were two things i am avoiding now, after i felt so goddamn full today. Me and 4 other friends went to Hanamasa Resto this noon to have early lunch. We arrived there before the restaurant open (how embarrassed) and spent more or less 2 hours there. Fyuhh.. Just 2 words : GODDAMN FULL!

Hanamasa itself serve various dishes, especially Japanese ones. Robotayaki, Shabu-shabu, Takoyaki, and so on. They also serve fresh fruits and many kind of dessert. The most important part for me. Their podeng was nice, i liked it. I've almost gave up for the Steam Boat. The soup was plain and the variations menu for d Steam Boat was less than for BBQ. I wish they serve fillet fish, but all they have are siomay and meatballs. We payed IDR 98.000 @ person. Actually i'm not fully satisfy, but i'm full already. Hahaha..

the view inside

me and my girls in Hanamasa

Anyway, i also had Steam Boat and BBQ in Singapore. I lived in Beach Hotel, nearby Bugis Junction and next to my hotel was a restaurant. They only open since 4pm up to midnight and sell these kind of meals. It's about 16 SGD for one person, include Steam Boat and BBQ. It's cheaper if you pay before 5 pm or come after 11 pm, about 14 SGD. It will be more expensive during weekend, about 19 SGD. Their systems are diffferent with in Hanamasa. I don't know how to explain that, but i more enjoy Singapore's Steam Boat and BBQ restaurant. We could choose the soup, either it is Tom Yam, Chicken, or Mala (too spicy for me). They also serve many seafood and more BBQ meat. One good point for my brother, they serve fried fries and it is his favorite. These pictures below were from my second visit to this restaurant. First we have different place for Steam Boat and BBQ for eating inside, then we moved outside and have the same place for them. And, it's cheaper, btw. Hehehe..

meat with spicy sauce for a perfect BBQ

brother's favorite which Hanamasa doesn't have

don't forget to eat vegetables

Wah, a long post about Steam Boat and BBQ. I prefer Singapore's lots more than Hanamasa and other buffet in Indonesia. I tried Hartz Chicken twice and wasn't satisfy though it was goddamn full too. Hahaha.

Here's some tips from me if you planned to eat in any all-u-can-eat restaurant.
1. Pick what you want and finish it. In Hanamasa, they'll ask you to pay any unfinished food.
2. Less drink and no rice. Rice made you feel full faster and you couldn't eat others.
3. Still eat vegetables or fruits. For you own good, friends.
4. Don't forget to take a breath. Hahaha, just rilex a bit if you feel full already. Walk around, texting or something, then back to your meal again. Hehe..
5. The last but not least, prepare your tummy. Skipped breakfast or just have fruits as breakfast is a good preparation before you eat these "whoahh" food.

Enjoy your Steam Boat and BBQ :)

Suckao for Max Brenner

Please don't mind what i've wrote on the previous post, cause in fact, here i am, wanna share you my experience in Singapore, last week. It's hard for me to choose what will be my first post about my recent holiday. But, i chose Max Brenner because i have less pictures of it, so it's easier for me to post about them. A small shop in Esplanade Mall, next to Cookie Museum. They sell a best chocolate. Yup, a chocolate shop :)

The decoration was simple, the service was two thumbs up. And their men looked like Korean guys, so cute and pretty - as Mom's said. Hahaha.. The food were also awesome. I must say their waffle was heavenly delicious. Actually i'm not a big fan of chocolate, but mother and brothers are. We also order it's signature chocolate drink, Suckao, and i felt "sakaw" already with that drink. Too chocolate in my taste, so we couldn't finish it. But the waffle and banana bread were safe and sound on our tummy. Hihihi.. A truly high-recommended chocolate shop. Just stopped by there if you're in Singapore, because their another branch is in Australia and Phillipine. About the price? They're okay, not pricey, but the service, once again, two thumbs up :)
